Primary Care Paramedic
Reporting to the EMS Manager, the PCP must demonstrate ability to deliver BLS level of care in a rapid, decisive and effective manner within challenging environmental and patient care conditions; including, but not limited to, long hours with minimal sleep, strenuous physical and emotional demands, both in and out of doors, any time of the day, during any season.
Manager, Protective Services
As the Manager of Protective Services, you will be reporting directly to the Director of Emergency Management. This multi- faceted role includes the organization and running of the Nakoda Emergency Service Protection Team in addition to both static and casual Security Guards. This position works closely with all three Stoney Nakoda First Nations Chiefs & Council as well as the RCMP and other external bylaw and peace officers when and where required.
Home Care Nurse – Registered Nurse
The Home and Community Care Registered Nurse contributes to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of client care. Depending upon the needs and complexity of clients, the RN may assume an independent, interdependent and (often) overlapping role with the healthcare team.
Client Care Assistant
As part of the Stoney Nakoda Adult Treatment Centre (SN-ATC) Team, client care assistants use strength-based and recovery-oriented approaches with individuals and/or groups to help combat stigma, promote self-determination, and instill hope. The Client Care Assistant works with the interdisciplinary team to monitor and respond to clients’ needs in order to provide support, care and safety for clients 24 hours per day in accordance with centre policies and individual treatment plans.
Peer Support Worker
Peer Support Workers of the Stoney-Nakoda Adult Wellness Center (SN-AWC) have gone through a process of recovery and have obtained peer support-related training to assist clients with substance use challenges to identify and achieve life goals as part of their own recovery. As part of the AWC Team, Peer Support Workers use strengths-based and recovery-oriented approaches with individuals and/or groups to help combat stigma, promote self-determination, and instill hope.
Indigenous Skills and Employment Training (ISETS) Coordinator
Reporting to the Manager of Community Wellness, the Indigenous Skills and Employment Training (ISETS) Coordinator is responsible for administering the Eden Valley ISETS Program. ISET is designed to help individuals improve their skills and find meaningful employment through programs that address the unique interests of the individual as well as meet the needs of the community. The ISETS Coordinator will design and deliver general labour market and youth programs as well as oversee the Eden Valley Career and Employment Centre (EVCEC).
Case Worker Supervisor
The Casework Supervisor’s primary purpose is to provide support, coaching and directions to front-line and administrative staff to ensure children, youth and families receive appropriate services. The Casework Supervisor is instrumental to ensuring high quality practice standards as outlined in our policies, procedures and practice measures.
